Title: "Fall From Heaven"
Software: photoshop, illustrator
Using a bold, striking, yet simple technique, Daniel Stolle has created a very stylish peice of digital art. It is very similar to the James Reid's "Fall From Heaven" which was designed a year later. They both give out a very flat feel from the images and both create depth the the picture by using the same images in diferent sizes. They both have figures that are sillhouetted and the colours are therefore alot bolder and more noticable. They both follow their own theme and repeat an image to create a pattern. In Reid's peice the clouds have a single line outlining them. This enables them to have more texture and detail without taking away the simple cartoon style of it all.

Title: "The Flood"
Software: Photoshop, Illustrator and Cimena 4D
Eduardo Fuentes has used real photographs to produse the clouds and bullet rain in his picture. Similarly Teodoru Badiu has used cinema 4D to make the butterfly wings look as realistic as a photograph. In this case even though Fuentes did his peice 2 years after the Badiu, he has used the more traditional technique. This may be because the photographed look is all she needed. The cloud in her picture is very flat and 2D and the bullets look 3D but it is easy to tell they are photographed. Badiu, has used and 3D painting programme and has succesfully prodused some very vibrant, 3D and realistic looking butterfly wings. However the bird and wooden post are photographs adds the same flat feel that the cloud has in the other picture. Both of the pictures are colourful, different from alot of digital art, interesting and both have hand drawing included with them. The first picture is very flat and the white background adds to this as well as making the colours stand out more, the second also has a flat feel but is given depth with layers.
