Designer: Nathaniel Stern
The sculpture itself is a suspended blue tank, four by seven meters, in an large room with wooden floors and a marked-out interactive area. The space is charged, light refracting through the water, revealing its surface tension. When a participant walks through the room they will be able to see the water in the tank above rippling directly above themselves. Also light and dark water ripples are reflected onto the walls giving the participant a feel of walking on water at the same time as being underwater and watching their own footsteps. The floor is laminated wooden floor which makes the person feel like they are still standing in a room making the experience all the more bizzare. The walls are white so that the refelecting water can be reflected without the interuption of colours or patterns.
